This grant supported a case supervisor to oversee and support 35 trained CASA volunteers who serve as court-appointed advocates for foster children. This new supervisor helped increase the capacity of CASA to represent nearly 300 abused, neglected and/or abandoned children as they navigate the court and foster care system. More than 100 children are on the list waiting for an Advocate. CASA-represented children have a higher rate of family reunification, long-term placement, and/or adoption and are half as likely to re-enter the foster system.
