SEE International's mission is to provide essential and transformative eye care and surgery around the world and at home in Santa Barbara. SEE, with its medical volunteers and partners, breaks the cycle of hardship that blindness and visual impairment cause, making patients, families, and communities healthier and stronger. SEE has a deep commitment to helping low-income individuals in the Santa Barbara area gain access to free eye care. Established in the 1980's, the Santa Barbara Vision Care Program (SBVCP) provides uninsured local adults and children with free comprehensive eye exams, glasses, medicine, and essential eye surgeries.
