Our 20th Anniversary
This year marks a significant milestone for us–two decades of changing lives together. What began in 2004 as a small group of women has blossomed to over 1,300 members committed to making a positive impact in our community.
The Women's Fund of Santa Barbara has remained steadfast in our core principles. Our doors have always been open, welcoming the next generation of women and embracing diversity. We welcome new members who will not only share our mission but who will become friends.
Our dedication to strengthening our community remains at the forefront of our mission. We strive to create a world that supports women, children, and families – addressing their challenges and helping them thrive.
We are proud to support agencies that collaborate to find creative solutions to some of the thorniest problems.
As we commemorate this significant 20-year milestone, we are building toward the future with the creation of the Legacy Society, a new membership initiative that will provide a lasting legacy of support, enabling us to continue our vital work transforming lives.

Wise Leadership
The size of the fund today is testament to the fine work The Women's Fund of Santa Barbara is doing for our local community for the past 20 years. Thank you for your committment to the success of non-profit communities in our area.
Women's Fund of Santa Barbara
From the beginning of the Women's Fund of Santa Barbara in 2004, to the growth of grantees and members, our mission has been constant and maturing with professionalism to 2024. I have seen up close the process with donations given to needs not centerpieces. I was in the first meeting and now still watching great women doing great things.
Proud to be a member
I joined Women's Fund in 2021 at the suggestion of my friend Ann Bronstein. New to Santa Barbara, and recently widowed, I found this organization to be a great fit for me...guiding my desire and action to help the community, meeting new fantastic women, and allowing me flexibility to find a place where I could contribute at my pace. Thank you so much for this wonderful organization.
A thought on our 20th..
I am so proud to have been involved with this beautiful concept of shared philanthropy oh so many years ago. The Womens Fund has continued to evolve and get better and better as the needs in our community have become greater and greater. A million thanks to all the women who have contributed and shaped this most important and cherished organization . Womens Fund has made a huge difference in the lives of all Santa Barbarans. I love the Women's Fund!
I have been a Women's Fund member and volunteer for 19 years. I would never have stayed so involved if I didn't think the organization was effective, the impact important, the learning valuable, and the women amazing! Being part of the Women’s Fund has allowed me to join nearly 1,300 incredible women in providing meaningful support to women, children and families in south Santa Barbara County. It has been so rewarding to be engaged with the Santa Barbara Women’s Fund not only as a long-time group member, but more recently as a volunteer acting in concert with so many exceptional women, whose devotion to maintaining one of the best-run organizations in town and commitment to discovering the most beneficial and productive ways to serve our community year after year are truly inspirational.

My small contribution is multiplied into large, impactful grants
As a group member, I am thrilled to see my annual contribution leveraged into large grants. Grants of $50,000 or more have a big impact, supporting our nonprofit partners as they do their vital work.
The Women's Fund showcases the real power of collective giving and I am proud to be a small part of our success.
Meeting great women, doing great things
I was relatively new to Santa Barbara…thankfully my dear friend took me under her wing - introduced me to the Women’s Fund, too. The women I’ve met are extraordinary. I’ve learned about our community, even engaging with some grantee nonprofits directly. Congratulations WFSB, and thank you for changing lives - including mine!
What a great milestone!
When I moved to Santa Barbara, I had never heard of anything like the Women's Fund. I was astonished and excited to learn that I could make a small donation that would be pooled with others to give grants that make a real difference in people's lives, right in my newly adopted community. It really came to life for me at my first Ballot Review Meeting. What a great model!

I joined the Women's Fund three years ago right before the Covid pandemic. I was so pleased to be able to help my community even though I couldn't attend fundraisers or events. The Women's Fund model is a great one to allow women to do so much without putting on a party dress.
Congratulations not only to the new members of the Women's Fund (of whom there are many) but to the women who've built this organization from the ground up and have been its foundation for many years. You've helped so many people live better lives.
